Taking the time to match the right receptionist to the right reception position is vital and avoids a minefield of potential problems in the future. For example, we feel there is little point in placing a receptionist, however exceptional, in a long term temporary position where their shift starts at 7am and they live over an hour away, as we believe that realistically the individual would not be able to maintain the high standard of commitment required throughout the natural period of the reception contract.

We know, however, that many other agencies would be willing to take this gamble. Here at Front we have a much simpler solution: we take more time and care in sourcing, screening and delivering an excellent receptionist who lives closer and who will be fresh every morning when they arrive at work. Applying such logic throughout the company ensures that our candidates’ quality, reliability, aptitude and attitude are always spot on.

When one of our clients has a requirement for last minute cover, our policy is, where humanly possible, to supply reception team members who have previously gained direct experience of working on that specific reception desk, so they are already familiar with the procedures and understand the demands and expectations of the client, thus ensuring a smooth transition. This is a rare policy within the reception industry.
