If you are looking for a corporate receptionist position and have previously worked providing customer service at the very highest level, then please visit our reception jobs page
However if you HAVE NOT yet managed to gain customer service experience at the very highest level – then we can still help you by giving you an insight into what is needed.
Corporations looking for someone to run their reception desk or be part of their front of house team will be looking for previous experience in one of these sectors:
- Corporate Reception
- Cabin Crew
- 5* Hotel Reception
Other areas they may also look at would include:
- Private members clubs
- Casinos
- Private Clinics
- High-end Retail
- 3* & 4* Hotels
If you don’t have this experience yet, then it’s time to start. Remember the more prestigious the Hotel/Airline/Shop/Casino – the easier it will be later to land that corporate reception role. However we can’t all start at the Dorchester – you have to work your way there. Try applying for some good hotels and see how you get on. Even try walking in – wearing your best corporate suit and see if you can drop off your CV. Be pro-active. If 5* hotels wont give you an opportunity, try the 4* or 3* ones. If you still aren’t getting there – try the Reception Training Academy (although this costs money, and we are not associated with them) They offer interviews with the top Hotels at the end of their training course.
